Who's up for a day trip? How about a drive to the coast? In just around an hour you can be slurping oysters at Gilhooley’s. Located in Bay Area Houston, the laid-back, no-frills spot packs hungry crowds coming in search of seafood and Gulf Coast breezes. The wood-fire roasted, Parmesan-garlic butter coated oysters are totally deserving of the short drive. Don't dress up for this date, it's casual at this cute little shack with a unique charm. Not into oysters, don't discount this just yet, they have a good selection of seafood as well as burgers too. Oh, but it's cash only, so plan ahead. Also, this is a date, no kids or pets allowed, really, this place is just for adults. No website available, just google them.

A road trip is a great time to reconnect. Relax, enjoy the views and just talk, unscripted and all. It doesn't matter what the conversation is really, just enjoy one anothers company and some stress free conversation. Just having some time to talk helps a couple reconnect and bring them closer together.
