Going to the movies may be one of the most popular date ideas. But why not put a little twist on a movie date. Try going to see a silent film with a live organist! See how the movies used to be enjoyed. The Grand 1894 Opera House, in Galveston, is showing the 1920 silent film “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” It is happening the day before Halloween, so it is a great way to get into the Halloween spirit!

After enjoying a classic film, stay in Galveston for dinner. A place to eat, with great reviews, is called The Spot. It is right up against the beach with sandwiches, burgers and seafood.
