A Little Batty

There is something amazing going on underneath the Waugh Drive Bridge near Buffalo Bayou. This is one of Houston’s best-kept secrets, their bat population. The Waugh Bridge Bat Colony consists of Mexican free-tailed bats that emerge nightly around sun set to stretch their wings and feed on area insects. You can learn more at http://www.houstontx.gov/parks/batpage.html Don't forget to scroll down on the page for their bat viewing etiquette tips.

Now, that you're out, you might as well make a night of it and swing by the Mockingbird Bistro http://www.mockingbirdbistro.com/ for and American bistro with a Texas twist. Why not try something new.

Relationship Reconnection:

Now, speaking of bats, it's time to talk about some fun traditions or rituals (which could include Halloween, other holidays, or just something random, hmm maybe even Friday night date nights). You can discuss traditions you currently have or new ones you would like to begin. Traditions/rituals give us the opportunity to connect, gives one an identity/sense of belonging, a way to enact values, and adds predictability. These are all great for bonding and building that connection as a couple
