Visitors are able to board and even tour this battleship
called the USS Texas. It is one of the longest serving naval vessels in United
States history. Today it is the only surviving vessel to have served in both
World War I and World War II. When you come here you are provided with
educational facts, history, and fun! If you want to get really adventurous you
could also book an overnight stay!
Learn about the navy, if you have any family
members involved ask if you can interview them by asking them some questions in
order to learn more. Being informed and staying involved with the world we are
living in and a part of, keeps us aware of our surrounds and how we can better
be prepared to serve. As a couple figure out ways you can do volunteer work or
service opportunities to give back to the world you live in.
