77386 Gulf Coast Wing

Take a trip back in time to World War II at the Gulf Coast Wing.  They are dedicated to aviation history and to preserving combat aircrafts that have been used throughout history.  They currently have one of only eleven flyable B-17 Flying Fortresses in the world, the Texas Raiders.  A tour of the Texas Raiders would be fun date night, and an opportunity to see something you have probably never seen before.  For a small entrance price, you can tour the Texas Raider's or for a special date you can even book a chance to fly in it! 

 

This would be a fun time to talk about your own family's history.  While on your date or after, talk about what family stories you have heard from your grandparents, parents, or others.  Did any of your family serve in a war? What stories have they told you? Enjoy some time sharing these stories together.
