One of the best places in Houston to fly a kite is Discovery Park, located at 1500 McKinney. The park has over 1.7 acres in the center of the park- the perfect place to fly your kite. Check out their website to see what else the park offers. If you do not own a kite you can usually find some at the dollar store.
When you have had enough wind for the day head over to the southwest corner of the park to The Grove for a late lunch or dinner (1611 Lamar St.). They offer American food and have great offerings during happy hour.
While you are eating your dinner, make a fun list. List 10 things you want to do together for fun. Make plans to finish one per month.
