Fall is upon us, and it’s harvest time. It seems as though
there are always fun new things to do in the fall.
Opening this weekend, September 26th, is Dewberry Farm located just west of Katy,
Texas in Brookshire. There are 8 acres
of Corn Mazes as well as 8 acres of pumpkins.
Now that is a lot of pumpkins. There
are 10 eateries and 35+ attractions.
This place is amazing! Here is a map of the
farm. They are open weekends only,
September 26th to November 8th. Saturdays - 10am to dusk, Sundays – noon to dusk.
Relationship Reconnection Tip:
Have fun with this date.
Explore the farm and be a little silly.
Let the child come out in you and feel the excitement for picking
pumpkins! Which one of you can find the biggest pumpkin Or the smallest? Take those pumpkins home and carve them, or
for a little different twist, paint them.
While carving, talk about your favorite season of the year. Why is that your favorite? Did you have traditions with that season when
you were young? What is your favorite
memory of that time of the year? Are
there traditions surrounding fall or harvest time that you would like to
incorporate into your family?
Traditions are a great way to connect as a couple and as a family.
After you are done carving the pumpkin, put a candle in it and
turn out the lights. Continue planning
that new tradition or reminiscing by candlelight.
