Sunset Date Night

Whether or not you are a nature nut, or if you like bats, this is a must see and a must do for a date night. This date night activity will be one that you will look back on and remember because of its uniqueness. Enjoy a sunset date night activity at Waugh Bridge,  which houses more than 250,00 sleeping bats. At sunset every evening, bats emerge from the Waugh Bride, where they have been sleeping, and fly around you. Go about an hour earlier than sunset, to make sure that you don’t miss the bats emerging from the bridge. Here are some tips. Tip #1, if it was raining the day before, the bats may emerge earlier than sunset because they were unable to hunt the night before. Tip #2, the best places to watch the bats are from the bridge itself or the observation deck. Tip #3, the best time of year to see the bats would be August and September.
