Animal Lovers

For this date, you’ll be going to your local animal shelter! If you don’t like animals or are allergic to them, you can participate in this date virtually by looking up pictures of different animals that you could find at the shelter. The main thing about this date isn’t the actually animals, it’s about getting to know your spouse’s interests and thoughts.

Your daily R&R Tip! (Relationship Reconnection):

Make sure to ask your spouse questions on this date such as, “Why is that your favorite animal out of the ones we’ve seen?” or “What makes that specific animal beautiful to you?” or “If you could choose any of these animals to bring home, which would it be and why?” (You don’t really have to bring an animal home—think hypothetically! And if you wouldn’t take any of the animals home, then that’s another great conversation topic!) By asking questions, you're expanding your love maps of your spouse in getting to know them more fully--and that's romantic!
