If you feel like you’re stuck in a rut with your
date ideas, here’s one that might feel a little more exciting than dinner and a
movie. I love to create things, and I love having a keepsake from those types
of dates. Visit toddglassart.com to see private lesson options and to contact
them to set up your date.
Relationship Reconnection:
While you’re on your way to your lesson talk a
little bit about the skill it takes to know how to work with glass and compare
that to skills you might need to create a better marriage. While you’re working
on your project, think about how the heat helps this process, and think about
what kind of heat, or pressure you have seen shape and mold your marriage. Have
you been able to use those moments of intensity to better your relationship?
How could you have used it to better your relationship? You don’t necessarily
need to have a conversation about it after, but make sure you’re both thinking
about what YOU could change in yourself to benefit your marriage. (Please don't be thinking about what you think your spouse should change, this is about introspection not placing blame.)
After the date make a promise to yourself about
how you’re going to improve and use the pressures of your life to bring you
closer to your husband/wife. If you want to talk about it do, but most
importantly SHOW your spouse how you’re putting effort forth.
